This trip is for experienced kayakers.
(During certain times of the year when the winds are particularly high it isn’t possible to do this trip due to the unsuitable conditions)

We begin with route and safety briefings on the dock, followed by some kayaking technique tuition which includes essential tips to help you get the most out of the trip. We focus on teaching our guests to kayak with the best possible technique through our comprehensive and concise ‘on dock / on water’ instruction session. Depending on the number of people in the group and their experience levels, this generally takes between half an hour to an hour before we set off on our adventure and greatly improves your ability to paddle on the ocean. All trips are led by experienced and knowledgeable kayak guides to ensure a safe and enjoyable day on the water.

Glide alongside the magnificent mangroves of Benjy Bay learning about the unique ecosystems and wildlife as you go. Cruise above a vibrant, turquoise sand patch surrounded by corals and sponges and enjoy the uplifting effect of the ocean. After drifting by a black sand beach and the picturesque eastern shore of Benjy Bay you follow the dramatic coastline to the east and enter Calivigny Bay, home to the peaceful and unique marina, Le Phare Bleu. After passing by the picturesque beach and mangrove-lined cove of the marina, you cut through a small ‘tunnel’ in the mangroves and find yourself on a beautiful, secluded beach at the point between two bays: Calivigny and Egmont. Whilst relaxing on the beach, a healthy lunch is laid out for you and you have the option to swim in the warm, shimmering sea or just sit back with an ice cold drink. After your guides have carried the kayaks a short distance across the point, you paddle out to the shoreline of a beautiful uninhabited islet, called Gary Island, that is surrounded by awe-inspiring flora and fauna. From alongside the islet, you turn to the west to ride downwind with the flow of the currents back across the bays, passed Calivigny Island and return to the tranquillity of Whisper Cove Marina.

The trip includes:
• Visit to a secluded beach and uninhabited islet
• Delicious, healthy lunch - with a choice of: meat, fish, vegetarian or vegan option
• Drinks - with a choice of: beer or non-alcoholic option

Our company used I’m Local services to set up a fun beach activity as a team building session and we were extremely satisfied with the service. There was plenty games to play with, even for a large group, and the whole set up was very comfortable, including umbrellas, beach chairs and tables. The food was excellent and plenty. We also appreciated their care for the environment with several bins available around the set-up, biodegradable food containers and a composting bin for food left overs. We would recommend their services to anyone looking for a fun activity in Grenada.

From the customer service to range of services provided, I’m Local were invaluable helping for me and my wedding guests in the lead up to the big day. Not only did they help me to organize pre wedding events (like a boat day), but they also helped tirelessly to coordinate, rent transport and chauffeur the majority of our guests ‘from away’ around - whether getting them to the beach and set up, delivering rental cars to guests, 24h concierge... - all so that I didn’t have to. They did a great job and I was given nothing but positive reviews from everyone that used them! A huge thanks in particular to Cory and Laurie
